David C. Nolan
Mr. Nolan attended Stanford University on athletic
and academic scholarships and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree
in History. He then attended the University of California School of
Law (Boalt Hall) where he was a Associate Editor of the Law Review.
He was elected to Order of the Coif upon his Graduation with a Juris
Doctor Degree.
Mr. Nolan then served three-plus years as a legal officer with the U.S.
Coast Guard at their headquarters in Washington D.C. He was honorably
discharged as a Lieutenant Commander, U.S. Coast Guard Reserve.
He then joined the San Francisco International and Maritime Law firm
of Graham & James. After 25 years there, he left the partnership
to establish his own offices, first alongside the maritime firm Flynn,
Delich & Wise, in San Francisco, then in Walnut Creek in 1994.
Mr. Nolan has a general civil practice, including matters involving
legal transactions, corporate and business law, maritime law, employment
law, licenses, trademarks and contracts, and related litigation thereto
in state or federal courts, agencies, and arbitrations.
He has appeared on behalf of clients numerous times before federal and
state courts, government agencies, arbitrators and mediators, as well
as the U.S. Congress.
Mr. Nolan served as an Officer and Director of Family Homes for the
Adult Retarded, was a founding Board Member of the Orinda Baseball
Association
and was Commissioner of the Diablo Valley Pony Baseball League for
seven years.
